College Basketball: UCLA Bruins at Oregon State Beavers (1/19)
COLLEGE BASKETBALL — January 19
UCLA at OREGON STATE
(Line: Oregon State -2, Total 147) — The Bruins got out of the gate slowly and had to endure the dismissal of Reeves Nelson. But they are currently on a decent run, having won three in a row, including an easy win over USC. The thing that makes this UCLA different than most of the teams Ben Howland has had is that they have more size to offer. The Wear twins are very good rebounders and inside scorers, while Joshua Smith, out of shape as he is, can still contribute about 15 minutes of decent play. Oregon State has had a problem keeping other teams off the board, allowing over 86 points per game in Pac-12 play, as well as 50% shooting. This could prove problematic when laying points to bigger UCLA, which needs every conference win it can get for the sake of Big Dance eligibility.
